Popoff Family Health Center

The main site for the family medicine continuity experience is the Popoff Family Health Center on Detroit’s east side. Located on a major thoroughfare in a challenged neighborhood, the Popoff Family Health Center offers an intimate setting that promotes integrated health. The patient population presents residents with a challenging and rewarding experience in family medicine. Given the highly stressed environment that many of its patients come from, the Popoff Family Health Center offers screening for the social determinants of health as well as adverse childhood experiences. Authority Health creates strong ties with the local community via dedicated community engagement, based in health promotion and disease prevention activities. Residents, who administer a Fresh Rx program during the growing season in Detroit, are encouraged to support all community health activities throughout the year.
